    Home is ...

... where ever I lay my frying pan. I say, nothing like being able to cook your own breaky and make your own decent cup o java. Gotta love summer in Vancouver, ridiculously fit yoga girls in Yaletown, fine BC beers on the patio, and fresh basil. My recessive Italian DNA is going mental. Olive oil in the viens I swear. Not sure if I'll have time to make a batch of Tiramisu. Maybe next time. Off to NYC on sunday for a week of chillaxin', then to New Jersey for a month of no star motels in Atlantic City. Ciao. Ciao.

That IS my bag, baby. Yeah!

Here's a story I forgot to post. My bad. I was watching the carousel in the Brisbane airport in eagar anticipation of my checked baggage. Alas, there it was when all of a sudden some Aussie dude beside me comments, "hey mate, is that some of the good red stuff coming from your bag?" To my horror my suitcase was freshly bleeding red wine on the carousel. All my electronics, my power supplies, battery chargers, laptop speakers, ect were in that bag. I quickly opened the bag which left a huge red stain on the ratty gray airport rug. Luckily the bottle of wine was on the bottom of the bag wrapped with a crappy pair of gym shorts and the electronics on top were only lightly dusted with the red stuff. The two other bottles of wine were luckily unscathed but the wine that was lost was a really sweet bottle of Shiraz. Luckily my better clothes were in the other bag. The cab ride had the beautiful smell of shiraz mixed with old socks so I pretended like nothing happened. Upon my arrival at my hotel (after 1am!) I washed my suitcase and soaked DVD's in the shower. Fun.

    Done and Donner

I'm finally done! Can't believe I don't have anything to shoot. Twelve hotels in about eight weeks. It's pretty chilly here in Surfer's Paradise. It's a big tourist trap, the waves are really inconsistent but is still doable. Gonna rent a wetsuit and a board tomorrow (maybe the next three days!) and try my luck. Home on the 11th. See ya soon, mates.
